RN TO BSN BRIDGE PROGRAM
Program Objective
Upon completion of this program, graduates will have an in depth understanding of global issues andmanagement concepts, making graduates qualified for more advanced employment opportunities withintheir field. Thisprogram is designed for registered nurses seeking broader professional responsibilities andcareer opportunities.
Program Description
The RN to BSN program is designed to provide a comprehensive approach to advanced concepts and analysis. The nursing program provides students with an opportunity to select coursework in areas that are emerging as necessities for advanced nursing credentials. These areas include informatics, nursing education, research and business concepts. This program takes an interdisciplinary approach to these paradigms in order to tie together an advanced undergraduate degree that will prepare the professional nurse for opportunities in career fields in nursing. Graduates from this program will have the appropriate academic preparation to work in nursing education programs, departmental management, case management,research, and other areas of healthcare where nurses have become a critical component of care and/or operation.
This program does NOT provide ANY Clinical components.
The Program can be delivered in Hybrid Form meaning the student can take the program EITHER Online or on Campus.
It is important to note that if a student chooses to take a course online or on campus, they must finish the course within the modality in which they started. Switching modalities once the course has started is not allowed.
Admission Requirements
All applicants must meet admissions requirements to be eligible for entry to the school
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age
The applicant must satisfy one of the following requirements in order to be considered for admission:
Applicants must be a graduate of a public or private high school or correspondence school or education center that is accredited by an agency that is recognized by the U.S or state of Florida Department of Education or any of its approved agents.
A foreign student without a U.S. high school diploma or GED providing documentation of having completed secondary level education or a self-certifying statement that secondary level education has been completed in a foreign country.
Had achieved satisfactory academic progress (an overall GPA of at least 2.0)
Submit Official transcripts
Provide a copy of photo identification card
Payment of registration fee ($150)
Submit a complete Enrollment Agreement
Provide proof of Clearance of physical health signed by a physician
Provide Criminal background checks including fingerprints.(The results are reviewed as part of the admission process and may be grounds for denying a student admission).
Additional Admission Requirements for Bachelor of Science (RN TO BSN)
Applicants must have an active RN Professional Nursing license, and have completed an Associate of Nursing Program, evidenced by program transcripts.
Applicant must present a verifiable professional nurses license at the RN level.
The license must be non-delinquent, active and free of disciplinary action to be valid for Credit for Professional Licensure.
Applicant must present employment history.
Applicant must present three professional references.
The institution must receive applicant’s official transcripts from the institution from which they received their associate degree in nursing. This degree must show at a minimum the completion of 60 semester credits with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5 on a scale of 4. The associate degree must have been earned at a program approved by the Board of Nursing at the date it was conferred.
Students who received a grade less than a 2.5 in any nursing related course leading to the associate degree in nursing may not be considered for admission
Transfer Credits from Conferred ASN/ADN
Using the applicants’ ADN/ASN degree transcript, the school will accept a total of 60 credits for transfer that includes 15 General Education Credits and 45 Core Education Credits.
Credit for Professional Licensure
The school will grant credit for professional licensure upon the applicant submitting a valid RN License. The credit will be applied towards the required 30 Credits of Nursing Advanced Upper Division (NAUD) courses.
This Professional Licensure Credit will be reflected on the students’ Final transcript upon qualifying for graduation.

The program will require the student to earn the 30 Nursing Advanced Lower Division (NALD) Credits at the Institution.

Online Learning
Online Student Orientation: Prior to attending classes new students are required to participate in an orientation program at least 10 days before classes start. Attendance is mandatory. Online Students will have to be present using conference calling. This program is designed to acquaint students with the policies of the school and learn how to navigate the Learning Management System (EduBrite).
Online Platform Description: Once a student is registered and has completed the Student Orientation, he/she can access the online platform from anywhere in the world by login in at https://capscare.edubrite.com.
Student Content Access: Students will receive their access to the Platform EduBrite on the first day of class. To maintain privacy and security, each student is provided with a username and password which allows them to reach their own personal page within the learning management system. Once the students log in their personal page, and open their course, they can see different web tools they can use to study. The main one they will use is the courses tab which contains their syllabus, lectures, audio or video streams and any other relevant learning materials. Students will follow their syllabus to organize their weekly studies and will use the assignments tab to review deadlines, download exams, submit homework, case studies, or projects and upload their work to the learning management system.
Technical Support: For technical issues with the platform, courses or downloads, students can email the technical support team at education@capscare-ed.com with their concerns, they will get a response within a matter of hours if not immediately.
Online Communication: Students can reach out to their instructors via email, phone or Skype if they have any questions. Students are encouraged to contact their faculty during the hours provided to them on the syllabus. If the student requires more time, the instructor will schedule a time to meet with the student via Skype, or by phone, or in person at the campus location in Lake Worth Florida. Faculty have maximum of 48 hours during weed days to respond to students and 72 hours during weekends to respond to students.
Attendance: Delivery of classes and programs through the Capscare LMS requires that students attend their sessions and discussions. Online students must post attendance within the first 3 days of the term.For the first week, updating your profile including uploading a photo/ avatar within the profile section or responding to any of the threaded discussions or reflection questions will count towards attendance for the course. For the remaining weeks, attendance is mandatory, and students are expected to log in to their classes at least twice a week to be considered in attendance. Special instructional activities may be scheduled at specific times convenient to both students and faculty members.
Counseling and Tutoring: Students will be counseled by individual instructors at the first sign of academic difficulty via phone or Skype. Students who require additional counseling for personal problems will be referred to community resources. All effort will be made to assist students academically.
Placement Services for all Students: Capscare Academy for Healthcare Education will assist with placement leads from prospective employers. All inquiries from prospective employers will be posted. The school does not guarantee employment. The student is responsible to seek employment. The school will assist as inquiries are made.
